BC Galleries was born from a passion and a dream. The dream was simply to bring the love for antiquity to Melbourne.
Greek and Roman mythology, and ancient Egyptian landscapes and iconography in His mind eye, Frank Bottaro opened B.C. Gallery in fashionable High St. Armadale in July 1994.
A truly unique business with very few like it in Australia, B.C. focus was on the ancient Art of the world.
The beauty and artistry of the ancient world, including the Indus Valley, China,Southeast Asia, Bactria, Indonesia and many more incredible cultures, flowed into an appreciation of Tribal artistry. The appreciation of all artefacts created by the hands and hearts of humanity, even the functional objects were made with a creative intelligence and inspiration. BC Galleries was truly a dedication and celebration of the human spirit through Art.
Is truly the end of an era with the closing of this unique store and Frank would have wanted to thank the many amazing patrons who shared in His dream
